Hi Albert - do you see if the text still stands up to todays knowledge, or do we know something more / view things differently now? (like reasons for some effects, or so...). Maybe it would be a good idea to make a self-critical review after 25 years?
What a funny question. Of course, the text is not up-to-date. It is concentrating on CCDs! Still it's a good entry read for someone new to the field and addressing in easily comprehensible manner key aspects of imaging. Even for people in CIS it is beneficial looking back and learning from history. So kudos to Albert for sharing the book! Of course, everyone would appreciate him to write another book. But I guess we also understand the implications of such a book to e.g. his current business with training courses...
