Digitimes sources said that Micron has shifted its 8-inch capacity back to the production of standard DRAM after image sensors did not pick up as expected.
Initially Micron had shifted a large part of its 8-inch capacity to the production of CIS in anticipation of a strong handset market in 2007. But demand has turned out to be weaker than expected, the sources said.
