Tessera licensed its Eyesquad-OptiML focus enhancement technology to Toshiba.
So by now almost all leading sensor makers adopted some form of computational focus technology:
- ST Micro and Magnachip go with DxO Labs
- Omnivision acquired CDM Optics
- Toshiba endorsed Eyesquad-Tessera solution
- Samsung reportedly works with DBlur
Micron seems to be the only large vendor with unknown plans (unknown to me, that is).
