Rambus Publishes More Conditional Reset Pixel Ideas
Rambus applies for another conditional reset pixel patent, the US20140175264 "Pixel Structure and Reset Scheme" by Song Xue, Thomas Vogelsang. Few figures from the application:
I get very nervous when I see the words "Rambus" and "Patent" in the same sentence. Hopefully others will develop the next generation CMOS technology before Rambus does. Otherwise our grandchildren's grandchildren will still be paying royalties.
Patents don't last forever but the destructive effect they have on an industry when used by predatory patent holders like Rambus can last a very, very long time.

ReplyDeleteIt seems you have no knowledge of patents and thus no regards to them. Each patent does not last forever. You should know this at least.

DeleteEvery invention should be free?
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of applications do you think with these conditional reset ? Is it for local exposure control in order to extend the dynamic range ? Thanks !

The Image shows no COLRST signal only collumn Tgate signals. The lower table is confusing for this reason.
ReplyDeleteAgree. Other types of pixel in the applications have COLRST. The pixel shown in the post names that control line differently for some reason.
