Cnpals publishes an article "Who Will Become the Mobileye in China?" There is quite a number of Chinese companies working on intelligent ADAS cameras:

  1. The answer is "Whichever Chinese company does the best job of stealing IP"

  2. This is highly sophisticated system and needs a lot of accumulated experiences. There is no serious Chinese players in a forseen future. You can steal the IP from Mobileye, but waht can you do with? They just make buzz and try to catch some free public money or spoiling guys from stock market.

  5. Apple invented iPhone with touch screen, so Google should not release its Nexus or Android. Before you reply again, please make sure that you are not using any Microsoft or Google products. As you know, Microsoft also has Win10 for touch screen smartphone.

    2. Steve Jobs famously said in 1996: "Picasso had a saying -- 'good artists copy; great artists steal' -- and we have always been shameless about stealing great ideas."

    3. Between 100-200 years ago, most American technology was stolen from the English. Not that two wrongs make right, but Americans at least cannot be too judgmental. On the other hand, the international patent system needs to be respected by all signatories, China included.

    4. Steve was referring to what was happening at his time, 20 years ago until his death. Every country / company needs to respect the intellectual property so there is no need to single out China though China has a lot to improve.

    5. Immersion Corporation, a leader in haptic feedback technology, expanded its legal battle against Apple on Thursday with a new patent infringement suit targeting technology built into iPhone 6s and various MacBook models.

The truth is there is a rigorous definition of what is a patent which is stated in the patent law.

And in my opinion mathematical equations and algorithms should be patentable.

But the patent law only applies to inventions that can make money.

I won't answer your question, as I think you are very forward. In US, you have Google and its self-driving car; but in China, we have Baidu and its self-driving car with self-owned patents. Man, don't be silly, please! Chinese is not your enemy. Welcome to visit my original post: http://www.cnpals.com/2016/05/02/who-will-become-the-mobileye-in-china/#comment-14

  7. Well, I believe in that it is necessary to respect patents. The right solution is like:

When Chinese smartphone companies produce or sell a smartphone, they had paid Qualcomm or other patent owners money in advance, especially when they want to sell this smartphone to overseas.

It's a right behavior! Thought not all of our Chinese smartphone companies will do this, for example, Mi...

  10. All comments have been linked to your Chinese version site. Have you had the kindness to ask the permission of Vladimir? Maybe you think that this is not necessary?

  11. Sorry Vladimir, do I look like a spammer? I'm the owner of cnpals.com . Google's formal slogen says "Don't be evil", which makes Google a venerable company. I created this platform for sharing my idea with global Internet users and spreading abroad new technologies. As an former employee in ADAS field, I wrote this post.

I'm not that familiar with WordPress, and I just managed to change the interface into English.

Thanks, Mr. Vladimir Koifman, for sharing my post!

  12. It is not just about Vladimir, Mr Dylan. You have imported comments from users (not anonymous ones) who may not want to comment on your platform. Sorry, but please explain why would you import comments from one platform to another?

This is not fine. Please stop this practice while preaching about IP rights, paying royalties and asking permissions!

  13. Oh, man, I didn't realize that. I'm very sorry for this behavior and I'll delete these "dishonest" comments on my site. Whatever, I prefer respecting your suggestion. This story tells me that you guys really care about your intellectual property right. It's OK and it's good! Thanks!
