Techinsights Publishes Pixel Cross-section of iPad LiDAR SPAD

Techinsights twits about the first results of Apple iPad Pro 2020 LiDAR reverse engineering:

"Our analysis continues for #Sony d-ToF sensor from #Apple iPad Pro LiDAR system. TechInsights confirms stacked back-illuminated SPAD sensor; pixel-level DBI & metal filled B-DTI."

As Techinsights reported earlier, the pixel pitch is 10um. The rough scaling means that the Si thickness is 7-7.5um. This should give Sony SPAD quite a high NIR QE.
