Smartsens Announces 3um Pixel Sensors with 0.67e- Noise

SmartSens releases its first CMOS sensor with built-in ISP, the 1.3MP SC120AT. The SC120AT is aimed to a broad range of ADAS applications, including autonomous driving, 360-degree surround view and driver monitoring.

The integrated ISP converts RAW data into YUV422 imaging output format. The SC120AT leverages SmartSens’ SFCPixel and image processing pipeline to deliver HDR of 120 dB in 3-exposure mode. It also features low light sensitivity of 8083mV/lux*s and 0.67e- rms read noise with an SNR1 rating of 0.24 lux.

The SC120AT and its ISP-less version SC100AT are available for sampling immediately, with mass production expected in June.

    1. Not very reliable comparison. Smartsense sensor use SS=0.4s in the video, the others use video rate. Check the comments from the author and the last part of the video where low fps is clearly visible on the smartsense camera.

Finally we do get some (hard) figures and numbers. Not everything already is there, but it already is a major step forward. Thanks.
