PR-Newswire: Omnivision introduced the OV2720, a 1/6-inch, native 1080p/30fps HD image sensor notebook, netbook, webcam and video conferencing applications. Based on 1.4um OmniBSI features sensitivity of 680-mV/lux-sec, and enables extremely thin modules with a z-height of 3.5 mm.
The OV2720 is currently sampling with multiple tier-one customers and is slated to go into mass production in June 2010.
How exactly does it "enable" low module Z height of < 3.5mm...
ReplyDeleteif you use a f=3.5 lens, you will have 45° field of view ... so it is possible to have 3.5mm module.
ReplyDeleteThen how they can compensate DOF? is there an EDoF inside?
