  1. When is this expected to hit the market?

    1. Everybody talks about it. It appears to be imminent.

  2. Pixels must be huge to compensate for loss of light through the display.
Since the sensor would be huge, the module depth must be large to accommodate the increase in sensor size and lens, would this thus suggest the rear would have a bump?
Are the pixels briefly turned off in and around the lens to avoid false sensor illumination?

    1. They claim that their special display can be made transparent over camera. In any case, with their selfie camera resolution of 20MP, pixels can't be huge.

    2. even more, they claim that the display doubles as part of the camera lens stack. Did they use some clever routing design of the electrodes in the OLED? Standard oled electrode routing would diffract light and make it worse to get an image below it.

  3. They do not explain how a layer can be switch transparent? Do they use liquid cristal? The Oled display is more or less transparent, underdisplay optical fingerprint sensors work well, but it diffracts the light. So I'm not fully convinced...

  4. i think it's more produciable than OPPO's solution. Xiaomi need to improve the oled's transmittance. But OPPO's solution need extremely high assemble process, which have a expense of low yield.
