  1. Nice preso!
Not sure what they're trying to achieve with comparison to Apple & Huawei:
They position themselves as pioneers, i.e. (one of) the first with a solution, i.e., they were around when OEMs were choosing their solution providers. But neither Apple nor Huawei chose them (Apple bought LinX) despite the alternatives being inferior (or so they claim). So what's the message here? Or who is the message for - Samsung? WDUT?

    1. Samsung and over a dozen others have the message: http://corephotonics.com/company/cp-net/ .

Corephotonics is used in Oppo and Samsung dual sensor cameras. Samsung, Foxconn, Mediatek, Qualcomm, and many others are investors; Apple, LG and Huawei are competitors.

The message is: Corephotonics has dual camera 5x Zoom with OIS that's better and flatter than the others, I guess we'll see more at MWC (end of February 2018).

    2. http://corephotonics.com/company/cp-net/ lists their partners, but most are suppliers to OEMs (which is good), but there're (almost) no OEMs (Oppo being an exception). It looks like trying to attract OEMs by presenting a readily available supply chain. But in this business nobody jumps unless the OEM says 'Jump!', so the question is - Who are the OEMs that chose them?

  2. Nor did Samsung choose them or HTC. So they are pioneers in claiming pioneerity (is that a word?)

  3. So Rob says Samsung use them, but Anonymous says they don't. What is it?

  4. Sounds like it's a problem requiring object segmentation before doing the images merging, in order to get all the perspectives right.

  5. Having 5x zoom vs 2x zoom is a marketing stunt. It’s practiaclly useless. It means that between 1 to 4.99x you are using digital zoom on the wider lens sensor. It would be cool to have 3 lens: 1x, 2.5x and 5x
