A well-known Q&A site Quora presents people's ideas on possible 3D smartphone camera applications. No surprising ideas there: 3D printing, 3D face recognition and background removal in video conferences are among the leading proposals.

  3. I also wouldn't say that pelican has anything that can be called "depth". It's just some low res mix of color, edges and slightly related to depth.
