Fujifilm's Organic Image Sensor

NE Asia Online published an article about Fujifilm prototype of organic image sensor.
The sensor is touted to be more sensitive as (a) it does not discard colors signals as Bayer sensor does, (b) it has nearly 100% aperture ratio and (c) it minimizes color crosstalk because sentitive layers are very thin.

    Foveon does not have a color filter or AA filter.

    This may come out with the new mirrorless camera from Fuji in spring 2012.

    I don't see any mention of color filters in this Fuji, either. And Foveon designers did recommend an AA filter, it's just their customer (and later owner), Sigma, who chose to skimp on it, with luma aliasing artifacts as a result.
