In Push to Smaller Pixels, Sony Proposes New Sharing Scheme

Sony patent application US20150002709 "Solid state imaging device and electronic apparatus" by Atsushi Masagaki proposes to use the area for one of the shared PDs for a compact placement of the SF, RST and SEL transistors. The CFA color arrangement also needs to be changed accordingly:

    I'm thinking about iPhone6 frontside camera, maybe using this kind of sensor??

    Look like it indeed, but the patent date is later than the iPhone 6, or not?
