Andor Reveals Details of its New BSI sCMOS Sona Camera

Andor publishes a video with some details of its new BSI sCMOS Sona sensor: 4.2MP, 32mm diagonal, up to 95% QE (was 82% in non-BSI version), vacuum sealed and cooled to -45deg:

  3. What is the readout noise? There is no word on this important parameter...

    1. I am quite sure it uses GSENSE400BSI from Gpixel, so just check the specs there

    2. They have data sheets up on their website, readout noise is similar to other competitors. Its also high enough that their own Zyla 4.2 could be considered to have higher sensitivity.

  4. Both the GSENSE400BSI and smaller format but equally sensitive GSENSE2020BSI were already available in comparable cameras from other manufacturers. Andor seem to be relying on their vacuum packaging as a point of difference.
