Cristel-Loic Tisse from DxO put his EIC 2008 paper on-line:
C.Tisse, F.Guichard & F.Cao “Does Resolution Really Increase Image Quality”, SPIE Proc. of conference on Electronic Imaging, San Jose - US, January 2008.
The paper discusses image quality scaling with pixel size. The main idea is that small pixels designers should solve quite a few chalenges to deliver a real improvement in image quality.
Nice find! This is an interesting paper, to be mixed in with all the debates of megapixels, resolution, sensors, pixel size, pixel type, and such.
ReplyDeleteAnother interesting paper by Christel-Loic Tisse (about EDoF this time) is now available at the same link.

Thanks, I'm posting this on the front page now.
