Intel publishes Youtube videos promoting its Realsense 3D camera and associated technology (video 1, video 2):
Update: WSJ quotes Kirk Skaugen, SVP in charge of Intel's PC chip business, saying "We are planning to be the number-one 3-D camera manufacturer."
What is the 3D method used here?

However, I'm not sure the current generation is still based on Softkinetic technology.
Intel bought two 3D companies (so far) which one is active stereo (Tzyx), the other a form of structured light (can't remember the name). SoftKinetic is not used in RealSense
ReplyDeleteThe second company is Invision:

Intel said "two eyes" are used but I guess they are develpoing several types.
