    You have heard it right. The investors want to re-invent the wheel and do things which got others nowhere. The founder is smart to leave.

    NIT has stopped all design activities on CMOS visible sensors as - after 10 years of trying - it has not prove any economical value on the market. Thus one founder and CMOS designers have left the company.

    NIT is now re-focused exclusively on SWIR sensors and cameras, an activity that has started 8 years ago and for which our positioning, expertise and technology are very strong.

    I have no idea what "anonymous" means by re-inventing the wheel, but would be happy to hear what he/she means.

    When you say "positioning, expertise and technology are very strong".. do you mean you have an absolute control over manufacturing of InGAAs arrays and flip-chip process internally? Or do you rely on others to fabricate your sensors?

    Is NIT affiliated with III-V labs? Asking because I guess no founder had any background in this.. Do you have your own III-V material processing infrastructure?

    Dear Pierre, If has 22 employees, It seems sort of obvious that you must do a lot of outsourcing for some product manufacturing. Wishing you continued successes with NIT and I think SWIR is a good niche. Regards, Eric
