Multiframe Super Resolution Zooms Comparison

Almalence compares its SuperSensor with Google Pixel 3 super resolution zoom. Both are based on multiframe image acquisition and processing:

  1. The app - either SuperSensor or A Better Camera - is in the play store.

  2. At first look the almalens looks nicer with higher contrast. Look closer the google is much more resolving and text is more readable.

    1. Contrast and colour is better but patterns are totally messed up in both "super res" images. Its seems they applied edge detection and guesswork algorithms for noie reduction, not stacking of frames.

Stacking should work much better on still images like this.

    2. Are you sure you are not mixing those up? The images with higher contrast are google's images. Almalence image is the one where the word "minimum" at the bottom is readable.
