SK Hynix Samples 1.12um Pixel Sensors, Mass Produces 1.4um Ones

The updated SK Hynix databook has information on a new 1.12um pixel based sensor - the 8MP 1/4-inch YACG4A1C. The sensor delivers 30fps at full resolution and has RAW 8bit and 10bit output modes. The sensor is said to be sampling, as of Q4 2012.

The 1.4um pixel-based 5MP YACF4B1C raw sensor and 3MP YACE5B1S SOC are said to be in mass production. Their speed is 15fps at full resolution.

    1. The reason for not covering this item is that these patents are more camera and system-related. Kodak's image sensor patents were sold to Omnivision much earlier, in April 2011:
