Did both guys mention 60+ meter range? Hard to get the accent. Hard to believe too.
It probably just uses stereo and does not rely on the projected pattern to be visible. Not hard to see something at 60 meters, but as he said in the video, the accuracy at large distances is going to be low.
I have tested 3 different RealSense devices and all are less robust and more noisy than old Kinect. A passive stereo device would nail it :)
