Nope, not active illuminated - it's just two color cameras.
There seems to be 3 cameras on the back of this tablet - most likely Intel RealSense Snapshot technology.
yes it is three cameras, one 8MP, two 720p, all RGB, so it's passive, but it's using all three image sensors to create a depth map.
regarding performance, with decent lighting, which presumably have for taking pictures nominally, the depth map quality is pretty good within 20-30 feet.
