I guess that 0.05lux is faceplate illumination. Since at 0.05lux faceplate at 30 fps, each pixel will get about 50e. SO with 1-2e readout noise, it's possible to get a good color image. But if we apply 0.05lux scene, then even with F1.4, we will get only 5e signal in each pixel. Basically 1Lux scene is needed to image correctly, a reasonable performance.
