CCD Adopts Dual Gain Readout

Truesense Imaging patent application US20130099095 "Multiple-gain charge sensing in image sensors" by Christopher Parks proposes a CCD readout having a small sense node 225 and a large sense node 215:

    Is there a charge loss when the first small FD is over-driven the charge transfered from OG gate??
