Light, a startup developing its L16 multi-aperture computational camera, announces it has closed a $30M series C round of funding, led by GV (formerly Google Ventures). On the way to its first product, the company releases a Vimeo video showing how the L16 prototypes are being manufactured:

ReplyDeleteLike Lytro, like Pelican, Light has a vision and we must give them credit for raising their C round. There must also be a few testimonials from prosumer photographers using a Light prototype. It will be interesting to see if this vision catches on and produces satisfactory images in a timely way for users. Looking forward to seeing the results. I like their logo, at least.
