IISW'09 Impressions in Chipworks Blog

Ray Fontaine from Chipworks published his impressions from IISW 2009: "as a first time attendee to IISW I have to say there is a youthful enthusiasm in the image sensor community and a sense that (from a technological standpoint) much more, and maybe the best, is yet to come."

  1. I see he mentions 'that' Frankenstein Bunny. I found that body of work not to my personal taste, not sure what others thought.

  2. I think you should not permit any medical treatment on yourself that has been tested on animals prior to humans. Or, maybe you should just stick your head in the sand and pretend that medical experiments are never tested on animals.

Personally, I think anything that will help the blind or visually impaired to regain their vision is worth a few rabbits.

  3. I heard it said that mating electrodes direct from an image sensor to the retina is like barking at a fish.
I'll look forward to seeing the human trials.
