Notebook Camera Prices Decline

Digitimes reports that the price of image sensors and controller ICs used in notebook cameras in 2009 is likely to drop 3-4% on quarter and 17-18% on year due to increased penetration of notebook cameras. Notebook image sensors prices dropped 5-10% each quarter in 2008, while controller IC prices declined by 5-10%, with an ASP of US$0.70-0.75. The price of notebook camera related ICs dropped 10% in the first quarter of 2009, according to Digitimes sources.
