I wonder if the multiplication of automotive lidars could not put at risk the cameras used for vision systems (some of these being already on the road and thus may not have the filters for all kinds of lidar wavelengths). I wonder if this has been studied ? IIRC, there was a case a few years back (CES ?) where the camera sensor of a photographer was damaged by the lidar of a demo vehicle.
I'd be interested to know if animal (non-human) eye safety is considered. Blinding dogs / deers / birds) would not be a nice feature.
