Omnivision Publishes its Patent Statistics
Omnivision adds Intellectual Property page to its web site. The big jump between 2010 and 2011 is probably a purchase of Kodak CMOS sensor patent portfolio:

The ratio (which is of course delayed) between US applications and US patents seems low, and the rate of new US applications and issued patents is also dropping. I wonder if the foreign patent rate just reflects spending more money to file in more jurisdictions? It would be interesting (but not likely) to see the number of unique new and patented inventions each year.
