Valeo LED Flicker Tutorial

  1. What a long presentation about something so simple.
    Cameras with short exposure times interfere with pulsed light sources - surprise, surprise.

    ANY person having recorded camera footage under artificial illumination will have come across this at one point.

Understanding what happens is fairly simple, I agree, but defining a standard, which can be used in order to test ALL imaging systems the same way if they operate in an automotive context, is a different story. I am glad that there are people trying to come up with ways to quantize these effects as these standards will ultimately benefit the consumer. So, don't be too fast to judge, only because you understand the problem - instead, work actively on a solution!

    Luckely not everyone understands everything that is going on in a camera, otherwise I was out of job !
