Color accuracy is very poor in Aptina sensors. Just look at the primary absorption curves they publish in their brochure. ISO17321 SMI score is likely no higher than 80/100. Sony has the best I've seen, but the industry can do better. The problem is that color accuracy is not a very high priority. Another problem is that images are universally recorded using color spaces which specify colors as combinations of three additive primaries. Converting from absorption primaries to additive display primaries would be better left to display devices.
