I admit I am not so familiar with device authentication, but seems once you know the fingerprint for a particular device, substituting that fingerprint in the data stream when using other devices seems straightforward. It is like relying on an ID code permanently hardwired into the camera module. What am I missing? Or maybe this is good enough for most security needs?
